Hello everyone, EVS here with a tip on how to properly fangirl!
Today's tip is entitled "Commenting on Performances and Songs"
Now, I know some are looking at the title sideways thinking "Oh no this broad didn't!". Yes, I did go there. It's time that some people in fanclubs accept that no one is perfect; that includes your favorite idols. They all make mistakes.
When someone critiques or criticizes coreography or singing, this does not mean for you to get offended and call this person names. That is an immature mistake that most fans tend to make. Just because they do not agree that the singing or dancing was not all that great doesn't mean that you should resort to name-calling and the like.
It does not make someone a hater for speaking truthfully about how they felt a performance was. Fans are often so quick to turn on their own because one fan said something like "this wasn't so&so's best performance" or "so&so sounded a little off today". It's a small harmless critique and you should take it with a grain of salt. It doesn't make them any less of a fan than you because they don't think the performance was perfect and spoke up about it.
The biggest thing here is that, when it comes down to it, it's someone else's opinion. You don't have to agree with it. You don't have to believe it but, the least you can do is accept it for what it is, an opinion. Not everyone is going to agree with you and you are not going to agree with everyone. It's time to put aside the childish mentality that you are always correct and that no one else is.
